Ahana Shah is a Grade 11 IBDP student at Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) with a strong interest in environmental studies. She co-authored a mentored research project examining the effects of air and noise pollution from construction activity in Bandra, working alongside her sister Anoushka Shah and drawing on a community survey of over 100 local residents. The findings were submitted to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, published in the International Journal of Software and Hardware Research in Engineering in October 2025, and submitted to the IRIS National Science Fair 2025. She went on to attend the Summer@Brown course People and Their Environment in July 2026, building further on her interest in environmental issues.
Ahana is also the founder of Kidnetics, an educational card game venture she launched through DAIS's Young Entrepreneurs' Academy, and a volunteer with Team Sugar Stoppers, a school campaign raising awareness about the health risks of carbonated beverages. Outside the classroom, she is a competitive gymnast. Her early research into the health impacts of pollution in her own community, paired with her broader interest in environmental studies, shaped her decision to found AirQuest, an initiative dedicated to improving public understanding of the health impacts of air pollution and supporting practical interventions to reduce exposure among vulnerable populations.
